We're looking for a talented, motivated dog groomer to join our growing team at PupVella!

What We're Looking For

Ability to independently complete full-service dog grooming, including haircuts
Strong time management and efficient grooming practices
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Dependability, professionalism, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Weekend availability required

Experienced groomers are preferred, but newer professionals with strong foundational skills and the ability to groom independently are encouraged to apply.

Dog Bather / Grooming Assistant

Love dogs and don't mind getting a little wet? We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our growing grooming team in Ann Arbor!

This is a hands-on position helping keep our grooming days running smoothly. You'll work alongside our groomer helping with bathing, drying, dog handling, customer care and keeping the salon clean and organized.

💰 Starting at $17/hour + tips
🐾 W-2 position

🐾 Typically 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, or until bathing is completed for the day

What you'll help with:

Bathing dogs using appropriate shampoos and products
Drying, brushing and preparing dogs for their groomer
Safe and compassionate dog handling
Laundry, towels and grooming-area upkeep
Cleaning and sanitizing tubs, kennels, equipment and work areas
Helping with basic customer care, check-ins and pickups when needed
Helping the team keep the shop clean, organized and ready for the next day

Previous professional bathing experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person. What matters most is reliability, comfort working with dogs, willingness to learn and being someone the team can count on.

This is an active job! Applicants should be comfortable standing for extended periods, bending, lifting and safely handling dogs of different sizes.
